A Demands for Black Students on Campuses
Free speech movement was for more rights for students on campus, political rights. There were demonstrations against the crackdowns on political rights at berkeley and at other schools. Students wanted a comparable educations, as well as integrating into the white ones. Women's students had parital hours. They had to be in in na. Freshman year when i was at college, i think youHad to be in your door by ten or even earlier. You couldn't wear pants to class. A, and men often had to wear ties and jackets. Why business attire? Because they are being trained for white collar careers. And women are being trained to be the wives of men with white collar jobs.
