When you began the end of bias, you thought you were writing a work of science. But as you worked on it, the original plan dissolved. What I found very quickly when I began the project was that every bias that I saw out in the world was living inside me. That I couldn't write a book with authenticity and sincerity if I didn't address it in me also. So, it became this kind of like dual project of like, you know, research and reporting and writing but also like deep internal work too.
