Ex-CIA director John Brennan says it was never a matter of just asking for Brittany Griner to be released. He says most people who we used to think of as hostages are now wrongfully detained by governments or government affiliated bodies. Iran's move toward Russia and other countries is result of the decision by the Trump administration to pull out of that deal, he says.
