Why Do People Do Better Under Stable Conditions?

People do better under stable circumstances, even when that stability is depressive. Strong men only have so much influence for so long before people forget the instability of like what it was like to live through regime change. So they are less invested in maintaining it and of course young people who feel trapped and suicidal and suffocated and stifled.
