The Death of Dr. Jung

When Jung starts his research into alchemy in 1928, he is taking on a task of unknown dimensions. There are no books on alchemy, there is no movement to understand it as a spiritual tradition. Its fate has been sealed as a failed attempt at early chemistry. For over two centuries, there was no effort to translate the great alchemical treatises. In fact, many of them were simply lying in storage bins of museum collections still in their original Latin, Greek, or Arabic forms,. gathering dust.
