Sean Payton and the Broncos

Sean Payton denied a report that he had concerns about a power struggle with ownership. He also denied this on Twitter. That seems like some fairly effective leveraging of the fact that he doesn't have to say yes, unless he thinks it's a really great situation to say yes to. It does seem like part of why some of this got slow rolled was not just the Broncos taking their time in interviewing a lot of candidates.
