The Income Tax Is Just a Sales Tax
Congress has become an extra constitutional government almost completely. Most of what the federal government does via legislation is not contained in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution. Politicians promised much like they're doing with the wealth tax now. They promised it would only be 1 or 2%. It was less than a decade after the amendment was passed. We had the first income tax seven years later and it applied to everybody.
