The Power of Simple
I think some of that is just my personality. As a black woman in the United States, when you see your people being impacted by something that's just indefensible, at least for me, it was easy to try to do something. And I also am a military brat, and I grew up not wanting for anything. We didn't want for clothes, water, food, housing, and I just think that should be the baseline we provide for everybody. But yeah, people really were enthusiastic about having a really simple, transparent way of helping their fellow man basically.
