The Importance of Independent Judiciary

Israel has a Supreme Court with 15 members, but it does not have any powers of constitutional review. The Israeli system doesn't do that at all; they give an extraordinarily broad definition of what counts as the independence of the judiciary. This is doubly compounded because when somewhere in the 1990s, name Iran, Barack Obama essentially transformed the Israeli Supreme Court.
