The Common Mistakes in Tactics and Analysis

Many people do not distinguish the difference between tactical training and calculation training, which leads them straight into this kind of catch 22 situation. I even remember like some kind of anecdotes told to me by one of my students who would claim that his coach would present him with a database of like a couple of thousand mates in two. And he claimed that after solving all of those exercises, my student would become very good at calculation. Let's put it like this. Vision is absolutely an inherent element of both tactics and calculation, but in terms of tactics, it's more about pattern recognition. While when it goes for calculation, it's about prediction,. It's about predicting what is going to come next.
