I think people basically were interested in what we were doing and mostly just made kind of funny, friendly jokes about us. Then a couple of our stories really hit. And I'm happy. And we just have to do it every day for the next 100 years. The New York Times is the most important institution in American news,. maybe with the BBC in global news. It's an institution that's genuinely very successful right now.
