Is the Sabbath Vacated?
There's an ever growing number of denominations. And it's not one ris what christ calls thus to in john 17, he says. We are called to enter the sabbath rest of god and Hebrews talks about this. The catholic teaching is that we refrain from menial labour on sunday. But you can find all this legalism around what you can and can't do on s Saturday. That totally defeats the point of the s Sabbath. It should be a time of relaxing and prayer. This kind of impulse has been built into us throughout our lives.
