How to Mic a Voice

The microphone is just terribly off-axis for one thing. I usually tape it on my chest In either case the mic will not be in front of the person's lips But it will be down on their chest and chesty audio sounds bad. The box reflects the sound which creates phase interference across very short reflection times - like an echo from the side of the Grand Canyon.
