The Rise of the Communist Party in Hungary
By the mid-1950s this is generating unrest in Hungary and as far as the class character goes there were workers councils that started to get established. The party became very closed off and authoritarian. Its forced industrialization, breakneck drive to modernize basically backfired and slowed and eventually stopped the encouraging rise in the standard of living. Over several years things descended into a frenzy of censorship and locking people up.
