The Most Famous Opening Line to Any Novel
Bob Dylan cited Moby Dick as one of the three books that influenced him most. It's also heavily influenced by earlier authors, particularly Shakespeare and Carlisle. The line "call me Ishmael" is possibly the most famous opening line to any novel.
