Generalized Occurrence Seizures

In order to see an ictal abnormality on EEG it may take up to 10 centimeters squared of cortex to be involved in the in the synchronous abnormal activity. If you have a seizure that has an onset in the insular cortex or the antarsingulate or the orbit of frontal then you may not see any clinical seizure. This is where taking a good history monitoring autonomic symptoms and heart rate and breath rate can really help you discern these things.
