Prima Facie and Epistemic in Philosophy
In philosophy there's a distinction made between the study of knowledge, what does it take for us to know things of the world ourselves. And then there's a question about there are on the other side ontological or metaphysical questions about what exists and the nature of what exists. The account I was giving a value before is an account of the existence of what is valuable, and thenature of value in reality. Then there's a separate question about how one might know one is in the presence, for example, of a valuable life. So if you have sufficient evidence to hold a position, but it's not irabutable,. It can be rebutted and overridden by other considerations.
