Is There a Modern Data Stack?
I've been saying this for a while and I have a half written blog post that I never released, but it was something along the lines of there will never be. It's because of exactly what you say, where maybe you're doing robotics and that's a whole different beast than if you're doing unstructured data. That's not even when you get into something like the structured data and you start to look at just like recommender systems, all of that. As much as we'd like to think that ML ops is niche, it's not. It's actually the foundational element that will fuel an entire generation of software innovation.
