Is There a Difference Between Communities?
I think what identity politics seems to do is emphasize the differential relations and hierarchies between communities, right? Between identities at the cost of understanding forms of hierarchy within those communities. So I would say, you know, let's always focus not just on difference between identities, but also difference within those identities. And that has been an important dimension of this discussion.
