Paul, who has acquired the ability to see the future, knows that like if he proceeds down the path that he's on, he will start a jihad in which his Fremen followers span across the universe. Paul uses his family's cash of atomic weapons to blow up the defensive wall which surrounds the main city on Arrakis. The use of atomic weapons is forbidden in this universe, but he basically finds a loophole in the law where you're allowed to use them against a wall instead of people. And then he rides an army of sandworms into the basin of this town, wipes out the imperial and Harkonnen forces which are holding it. That's the basic story. Boy
