The Requirement of Simplicity in Physics

The Pope says there are two versions of simplicity. The key notion is not really simplicity, it's its basically unity. A the crucial requirement is that a theory says the same thing for all the phenomena to which the theory applies. So so cobber's notion of simplicity doesn't really work and doesn't do justice to the notion that in fact operates in physics.
