The Importance of Data Diversity in Modeling
I think perhaps this is the first time where I really thought about the importance of data diversity in terms of inputs for these models. This is obviously like a dream world that I'm living in, but that idea if we could get more diversity in general in our data and the way we access it, we could open up things dramatically. That's not necessary to address all those grand challenges we have, but you want to have a very fine grain data at very high temporal resolution. Once you have a satellite that overpasses your area of interest, once a day, you would appreciate if it would do that once an hour.
