When law students prepare to argue for either the plaintiff or defendant in a moot court, they come to believe that their side of the case is both morally and legally in the right. And so this is an interesting experiment because it showed that just knowing you're going to have to persuade other people of something gives you the motive to start believing it yourself. But if your audience is at all adversarial or skeptical or, you know, coming at it from a different angle, then if you come in there all about Bastik with your one sided arguments, that's just going to turn them off.
