How to Start a UX Illustration Business
I always charge hourly. For any aspiring illustrators out there who are wanting to get into this business, it feels like the client always kind of knows what you stand. They feel free to ask how many hours they've used so far. It doesn't get out of hand for a project, whereas I think a flat rate could. Coming from the agency world, I always love to throw in references and inspiration and a mood board for everything.
