The Case for Symbolic Leadership

The last chapter of your book is about the case for symbolic leadership. In an ideal political system, you would have one ruler who exercises ritualistic power that allows people to project their emotions on him or her. The other leader could be chosen by other means and exercise real political power. Most successful policies today are what's usually called constitutional monarchies. If there's a way of reviving this sort of political system in the future, I think it might lead to a more stable and long-lasting and actually highly performing government.
