The Story of Victor's Scam

In 1928, Victor met a businessman named Thomas Kerns. He convinced him to give him $50,000 to finance a scam with the promise that he would repay double in two months. After no news of his crime hit the papers, Victor decided to return to Paris later to attempt this game again and evade arrest. However, when he found a buyer this time, police were notified and he had to flee to the United States to evade arrest. So he tried it twice, but he ends up getting arrested because his greed and he like slipped up too many times.
