Russell: Is it part of the nature of reality that there is something that just cannot not be? Copplestone: I don't want to uphold the whole philosophy of leibnitz. He makes a distinction between what you might call metaphysical necessity and just pure logical necessity. And i have in my notes, if i could add one more thing, is a key point, which is whether or not real onological necessity is also ical necessity.
