It's hard to assess which things would we find offensive if we were different from ourselves? Like, will they? Will the future people think of that that? That is presumably there's a lot of discretion whose use is covered up. And it's going to be more potentially offensive than the nautical metaphors. There's going to been stuff that is we would now find, in fact, offensive and unacceptable.
