Gilian Rose was a british philosopher who held the chair of social and political thought at the university of warwick, until her death in 19 95. She became most well known for her formidable critique of post structuralis thinkers like heideger, fuco de luz and derida. In this episode she is attempting to defend hegel against what sh sees as his misreadings,. which notably includes the reading of hegel found often in marks. The text that we're looking at is hegel contra sociology, her second book from 19 81.
