The Feudal Security of Technology
Digital feudalism is coined by jonas varafakis and coming out in his forthcoming book it's actually a different kind of technological feudalism. The warlord would be someone like apple or google or facebook and they will hire mercenaries security researchers and experts who will stand on the battlements to defend you from all bad guys. But those mercenaries will never defend you from the guy who signs their paycheck right the warlord themselves if Apple decides to invade your privacy, so does Facebook. We need another force that will discipline these tech firms as they are tempted to do bad things to you.
