The book is a series of reflections that more or less culminates in acknowledging and then, i wouldn't say resolving, but at least learning to see that solitude is not something that stands separated off from others. And this is where it becomes loneliness. If we think th the term erms of tilic or we think in terms of wisdom and compassion, we see that actually you can't really have one without the other at all,. That they are inseparable parts of our humanity. The very language that forms in our solitary mind is not ours. It's the language of our community, of our culture.
