Synergies, What's at Play?
A synergy is a collection of entities that because of some energy gradient or something else are required to form a unit for a while. So when, so you know, the example I use all the time is like when you flush the toilet, all of the water molecules behave in a very atypical way for a little while. That's a synergy. And work by Scott Telso, Stephen Brestler and Scott Kelso and others has taken up this idea as well.
