Electric Cars - Are We Going to Need Millions of High Voltage Fast Chargers?
If we're all going to move to using electric cars, for example, we're going to need millions of high voltage fast charging stations everywhere. The 20 to 35 targets, as you know, that we take internal combustion engines no longer entering the fleet in 15 years time. That means that we have to begin now to create the network infrastructure and smart charging infrastructure. Is it realistic to say by 2035, this will all be in place? I don't know, but I'll tell you one thing for sure. If we don't start to make the investment, now definitely wouldn't be there. So that's 100% certainty.
