Barrister was known for writing a book about being a criminal barrister and then had to. There's no way she could have done it whilst being in court every day. The adrenaline of having to perform has made her very good at reading documents. She wanted another baby but couldn't afford full-time flexible childcare so went back to work. But the gap between work and payment can be months or even years. So how do you go back? You don't necessarily know when that money will come in again.
