Sally Kohn: I think that anyone who works in or near technology should read Technics and Civilization by Mumford. She also recommends River of Shadows by Rebecca Solen, which she says is a good guide to the history of technology. Kohn was recently turned on to this German philosopher named Bienchul Han - he's most well known for the burnout society. The agony of Eros is about curiosity being increasingly impossible in a situation where you think that everything is accessible and visible to you.
