In Jesus' mind, the super mega horn beast doesn't refer to something only a hundred years before him. It's something that humans and human kingdoms put on and become what you would call a type. The tragic irony is that when human beings exalt themselves to the highest place of pride, ironically, from the Bible's point of view, they become beasts.
