We know there's a higher density of dark matter in the center of the galaxy, even though we can't actually see it. People have pointed special telescopes at the center to try to pick up signatures from that dark matter. It's just like a really cool laboratory because the conditions are so weird and different and intense. To me, it's just sort of like a pocket of inactivity that maybe lets you have new stars. But there's a lot of stuff to learn about what's going on"
