The Bible For Normal People

CHAPTER

Roman Catholicism

Sani: The bible is a history of the inspired writings of the jewish and th christian peoples over maybe as much as in all 15 hundred year period that we have chosen to be normative. In our understanding of who god is, god becomes less violent, less punitive, more inclusive, less tribal. That's what we meant when we said that we read the scriptures in the light jesus. And i see the bible as charting that growth and that changed us. So it is inspired but this sound heretical to an evangelical protestant audience? It really isn't.
