How Do You Discover an McI?

The term mild cognitive impairment was coined by Barry Reesberg and colleagues at the New York University in the late 70s, early 80s. Dr. Peterson came to use it for a group of people who were aging, but not quite normally, yet they clearly did not have dementia. "It is about a spectrum of change that emphasizes cognition as well as daily function," he says.
