The first test was done on a woman called Margaret Taylor. She had reported that a lot of her and her fellow students' belongings were going missing. They thought it would be a very good test case for the lie detector. So she was tested first because she was one of the victims, they wanted to rule her out. And then they did a bunch more kind of college petty thefts and things like that in the first year before moving on to murder cases.
