What Is the CFA, Frank?
The CFA, Frank itself was created officially on December 26th, 1945. The French authorities decided to give the CFA franc a high external value. One CFA franc equaled 1.7 French franc in 1945. Three years later, one CFA franc was exchanged with two French francs. That means the French franc was lower in value, the next national value first lower in international value compared to the French franc. It helped France reconquer the trade shares it lost during the Second World War. In French we would say found the Cornifons as Dafre.
