The Limits of Fear of Nuclear Weapons
I think the question becomes, what's the limit on fear of nuclear weapons in the sense that obviously Putin rattled the saber when it came to Crimea. How do we balance the deterrence while also recognizing the real threat that you're describing here? I've thought a lot about this and I'm torn by part of me. This is going to sound terrible but part of me is said, take Taiwan, you can have it. It's not worth us getting into a nuclear war that's going to get me and my family killed.
