A mountain of a man, immeasurably high. A hulk of a human from head to hips. So long and thick in his loins. This is describing the physique of this green knight who sounds like an arnold schwartnege type sort of body builder. The word existed before the incredible hulk from the marvel movies arrived. I'm curious if the word hulk was also in in middle english if we go back er. It's not.
