Health Impacts of Extreme Heat

Kennk: This really opens the door to thinking more comprehensively about the potential health anpects of heat. We need to continue this research so we can better identify who is at greatest risk, and hopefully to identify possible preventive strategies. i think that there is an opportunity to protect these particularly vulnerable populations during periods of extreme heat. And that can be a matter of practice that is incorporated into, for example, heat adaptation plans and mitigation strategies.
