Is There a Risk of Gastric Insufflation With High Flow?
With high flow I don't see any risk of gastric insufflation. So many of the patients will keep their mouse open and the pressure will be minimum. When you breathe against an expatory resistance you take longer time to expire which may be a benefit for your lungs because it keeps your lungs open for longer time. But again these pressure are insufficient to create any risk on the gastricinsufflation so I would not stop feeding during high flow based on all these evidence.
