The Philosophy of Plato and Xenophon
Protagoras is credited with developing the philosophy of moral relativism. He believed that things are, or are not, true according to how the individual perceives them. Truth therefore is relative and differs according to each individual. The philosophers would come to regard the Sophist training as antithetical to the pursuit of philosophy. But there were very critical differences between Protagoras and Socrates.
