The Importance of Banking Rails for Crypto

In theory you don't need stablecoins at all. As long as it's cheap and fast to convert directly into fiat, which then begs the question of will we be able to convert cheaply into Fiat if this operation choke point 2.0 happens? I would say that the description of events is very still US centric, right? So lightning is used in many regions of the globe. And so even if things get more difficult for crypto in the short term, although I'm very hopeful for the medium to long term in the U.S., there's a lot of regions where this can already be useful.
