Coleman report was based on a survey that began in 19 64. Some twelfth graders experienced the first few years of life in a place with no television, while others spent their entire pre school period watching t v. The researchers did something else clever: They included one more comparison to make sure that geography wasn't the explanation for higher or lower scores.
