The Cost of a Calvinist Position in the Theological Arena

Sometimes people will ask me what's your favorite verse in the Bible? And I'll say Lamentations, 331. And invariably they've never heard of that one. So when I tell them what it is, they're a little bit like dumbstruck by it because that immediately raises the question in their mind: Doesn't the Bible say exactly that? That that's what God does. "Everybody that enters the theological ring has to do battle with text that on the face of it don't seem to support their argument"
