Is There a Disconnection Between the Product Owner and the Engineer?

There's a disconnect between the who's selling the product, and those trying to implement proper engineering practices. And they don't always match up. The idea that we'll just do just the bare minimum with the bare minima of funding is what i think leads to the whole mvp idea. I find this interest ecause there has been a lot of push back over the past few years on the idea of n v p - move, move fast and break things.
